Nico is a recovered abuse case. An owner beat her with a 2x4. She was also badly malnourished and we gave her a year simply to recover her health and specifically to try to grow out healthy new hooves. Nico is now fat and healthy and ready for a new future! Please consider taking this darling mare home and giving her a great new life, either as a companion or perhaps another farrier may be able to further complete the process of recovering her hooves and make her ready to train. Nico remains timid and a little domineering and would not be a good match for a family with small children or others who do not know and follow basic safety rules around horses.
